Growing up in the Caribbean on the small island of Tobago, many of the ‘comforts’ for daily living enjoyed in more developed countries were not available to us small islanders. However, this encouraged self-sufficiency, minimalism, re-use, recycling, and out of necessity, LOTS of innovation – many of the facets associated with sustainable living.
